Program for skill training and proficiency evaluation in periapical radiography.

Skill training
Skill training is organised under the headings Explore, Expose and Error analysis.
The Explore exercises demonstrate how radiographic depiction is changed when single projection parameters are altered.
Exercises under the heading Expose present tasks where the goal is to expose correctly projected radiographs.
Error analysis aims at acquiring skill in analysing incorrect projected radiographs, a skill necessary for making correct retakes.

Exam (under development)
The Exam module will evaluate the skill to analyse bitewing projections. The simulator presents radiographic images with and without projection errors. The task is to analyse the projection geometry used in the presented image. The answer is given by exposing a similarly projected radiograph as the presented image.
The results will be automatically evaluated and recorded according to predefined standards.
